About the River
The shore lines and waters of the Juniata River provide an excellent opportunity to view birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Wood ducks, mallards, mergansers and geese; muskrats, raccoon, mink and deer; turtles and frogs, osprey and bald eagles; herons, egrets and king fishers and many more animals all flourish along the river. Come enjoy a day, or even a few days, along the beautiful Juniata River by yourself or with your family!
